  Background to the School
Blenheim High School (named after a Derby winner) was opened in September 1997 with a Year 7 intake of 120 students and was planned that the school would grow on an annual incremental basis. The Sixth Form opened in 2003 and the new 6th Form Wing was completed in 2004.

The school is now successful, established and oversubscribed; supported by a strong Governing Body, supportive parents and excellent links with the LEA.

General
Today the school is a lively and successful place. Visitors to the school constantly remark on the warm and friendly atmosphere and the prospectus will give you some ideas of what the school is about.

We make no apology for some of our traditional elements - extremely high expectations of the students, strict school uniform, orderly classrooms, regular homework and a wealth of clubs and activities and we complement these with first class resources, energetic, enthusiastic teachers and support staff who involve themselves in every aspect of school life.
