NORWICH CITY FC 0 - 10 CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM

Chelsea FC Blenheim Academy travelled to Norfolk for their second game of the National Football Youth league season against Norwich City. After a close game at the start of March the quick turn around promised to offer another close encounter.

The progress that Coaches Steve, Harry, Jaz and the girls have made over the last few weeks was clear to see as Chelsea FC Blenheim started on the front foot and never let up. Amie started the scoring after 14minutes and the goals kept on coming. On the 27th minute Millie finished a good team move and in the blink of an eye (12 minutes) Amie, Kori and Millie with her second, added to the score line and it was 5 - 0to Blenheim Chelsea FC at the break.

The half time message from the coaches was clear as, at 5 - 0 in the reverse fixture, Norwich scored three goals which made for a nervy last 10 minutes. Fortunately this was not the case and Chelsea FC Blenheim started the second half how the finished the first, on top and looking to finish the game in a professional manner. Amelia added to her two assists with two goals, Etta who was 'player of the match', added a further two goals and Kori completed the rout with a poachers finish with one minute to go. The scoreline did not flatter the girls' hard work and in truth it may well have been more.

The 12 hour round trip was well worth the time and energy as Blenheim Chelsea FC bought back not only three points but much needed confidence, as they welcome champions Enfield Town to Epsom next week.
