CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM 5 - 1 USP STORM

Chelsea FC Blenheim Academy welcomed USP Storm for the last game of the season in the National Football Youth League season.

Having returned the day before, due to the National Cup trip to Stoke, the side could have been forgiven for starting slowly. Within one minute, Chelsea FC Blenheim were 1-0 down as USP Storm took the lead from the penalty spot. Chelsea FC Blenheim, to their credit, and in difficult conditions, equalised after seven minutes with a goal from Kori.

Chelsea FC Blenheim were level at half time, and for the majority of the team, this was their final half time team talk in a Chelsea FC Blenheim kit. After some tactical changes, the result never looked in doubt. Two goals in the first two minutes gave Chelsea FC Blenheim a deserved 3-1 lead with Kalena and Millie getting on the score sheet. USP storm managed to string some nice football together sporadically, with Lara saving well to keep the score at 3-1. Kalena completed the scoring and her hat-trick, with two goals in the last 20 minutes. A well deserved win.

The three points takes Chelsea FC Blenheim to fourth in the league, with the teams around them still to finish their league campaigns.
