ROSSALL SCHOOL 1 - 7 BLENHEIM HIGH SCHOOL

A day in history once again as Blenheim's all-conquering Under 18 Girls' Football squad travelled to Stoke City FC to face Rossall School and be crowned National Champions for an incredible third time.

Although some of the personnel have changed through the six years, the team’s core strength and values have remained constant. These were needed through earlier rounds as Blenheim beat the world famous Millfield and a very strong Shenfield School in the semi final.

The girls started the final game well and were on top from the outset, creating chance after chance.

Amelie, captain fantastic for the last six years, opened the scoring with a trademark header and Millie made it two after 28 minutes. A slightly fraught goal got Rossall school, already Independent School

Football Association National champions, into the game and at 2-1 it was game on.

Half time came and went, but it was Blenheim, who performed stronger in the second half, taking control of the game dominating all over the field. Two more goals from Millie, two from Becca and one from Dulcie rounded off an amazing day in #teamblenheim history.

This team have been sensational over the last six (two without football) years, playing 62 games and winning 61, including three County Cups and three National titles.

It has been a pleasure to work with them and their achievements are likely to be unsurpassed.

A massive well done to our three time National Champions, Lara, Leia, Hannah, Amelie, Becca, Amie and the newest members of the National title group, Lara, Keira, Dulcie, Millie, Millie, Abbie, Alex and Bethany.
