AFC SUDBURY 4 v 0 CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM

PLAYER OF THE MATCH AMELIA

Chelsea FC Blenheim travelled to table topping AFC Sudbury this week to continue their National Football Youth league campaign.

The game started brightly, with both teams fighting for supremacy in a well matched battle in midfield.

After just 8 minutes though, AFC Sudbury showed why they are league leaders, with a quick burst forward and a clinical finish. The goal motivated Chelsea FC Blenheim and for much of the first half they were the better side. That being said, with all the possession they had they could still only carve out half chances and scuffed shots. With a minute left of the half, AFC Sudbury burst forward and dealt a killer blow, firing home leaving Chelsea FC Blenheim 2-0 down at half time.

The second half kicked off and 2 minutes in, the game was all but over, with AFC Sudbury netting again. Chelsea FC Blenheim worked hard to stay in the game and with the match opening up AFC Sudbury secured the 3 points with a good team move and an excellent finish.

The Chelsea FC Blenheim team travel to Brighton next week in the ESFA Super League, looking to secure top spot in their group.
