Welcome

Educating children is a great responsibility and privilege.  As adults we wish our children to develop into happy, successful and fulfilled young people.  At Blenheim, we aim to offer an education that will enable our students to do just this and flourish as individuals.

We offer the complete learning journey from Year 7 to Year 13.  Throughout that time we aim to offer every child opportunities to achieve academic success, acquire the skills they will need in the future and to aspire to do their very best.

As a school we aim to value each student individually and believe in excellence in partnership, with parents, primary schools and the local community.  We aim to create a stimulating, friendly and disciplined environment where students can learn and achieve.  We set very high standards, not only for teaching and learning but also for behaviour, dress and attitude towards others.

I believe that through learning, every child has the power to shape their own lives and we work hard to develop attributes that will allow our students to adapt in a rapidly changing world, to succeed in competititve environments and to value the qualities that make good citizens.

Student achievement will always be at the top of our agenda.  Without doubt, good exam results open doors, change lives and empower children to achieve their dreams.  However, I also believe in a well-rounded education and the benefits of extra-curricular activities.  We promote competition and co-operation through a huge programme of enrichment opportunities and as well as being the only Science and Maths Specialist school in the area, we excel in creative arts, technology and sports.

We set high standards in terms of appearance and behaviour and have high expectations for all our students.  Visitors often comment on the calm, purposeful and happy atmosphere around the school.  If you are already a parent of a child at our school, thank you for sending your child to Blenheim.  If you are considering entrusting your child to us or aspire to work here, please come and visit us, meet our children and staff and talk to me about my vision for a school of which I am exceedingly proud.
