Year 9's take part in Robotic Penalty Shoot Out!Posted on: 04/05/2018
Yesterday 11 of our year 9’s took part in the Robot Football challenge in Krishnamurti, using block based coding to operate a Sphero Spark + in a penalty shoot out.
They worked as part of two teams, collaborating to find solutions to manoeuvre the Sphero around the football mat through coding, using speed, distance, time, rotation and angle calculations.
Well done to Josh, Samir, Sultan, Nic, Neo, Alex, Sam, Sonny, Humza, Tyler, Marco - behaviour was impeccable and they really were an asset to the school.
Sphero has also been used in many other parts of the curriculum including Art as its waterproof body allows it to be submerged into paint!
