Students in Great River RacePosted on: 17/09/2018
On 8th September 2018 some of our courageous students competed in The Great River Race. This consists of a 21.6 mile course from the Isle of Dogs to Ham House. It was a race against the Thames tide in gigs which are 20' long boats propelled by 14' wooden oars, so took a lot of grit and stamina.
All but one of the students have completed this more than once and all are either Scouts or Explorers at the 1st Cuddington (Warspite) Sea Scouts.
Congratulations on your achievement Bruce, Oscar, Jess and Myah (Year 12), Jacob and Dan (Year 11) and Connie and Maddie (Year 9).
