Congratulations to the Year 8 Basketball team who have won their recent Surrey Schools Basketball match against St Bedes. 

St. Bedes won the tip and applied pressure immediately from the start finding space in the Blenheim defence to score an easy basket within seconds. With some soft passing and slow reaction time from Blenheim, St. Bedes started to increase their score. After a time out, Blenheim started to switch on and their play improved. Charlie T brought the ball up the court and joint up with good passing and shooting from Fin and Liam to score to get Blenheim back into the game. 

Following another team talk and a boost of confidence Blenheim started to score and dominate on the court in the second, third and fourth quarters. Stronger and more successful defence from Liam and Rhys; excellent dribbling and shooting from Charlie T scoring many lay ups; excellent anticipation of the game by Fin who was always in an attacking position and tracked back to get rebounds too. Jack came on as super sub to score an excellent lay up. A thoroughly well deserved win in Blenheim.
