Both the year 7 and year 8 Netball team played the fierce competition from Cobham Free School.

The year 7 team demonstrated commendable communication on the court, showcasing a

promising foundation. However, there is room for improvement in the knowledge and

implementation of the rules, which will enhance their overall performance. Unfortunately, the

team ended up losing; however, this was a fantastic experience for the students, and for some,

their first ever netball fixture.

 

The opponents from Cobham provided our year 8 team with a very tough challenge, as they were

always focused, determined, energised and were able to perform to a very high level. Our year 8s

showcased their resilience and made sure to always put 100% effort into their performance on

court. Notably, their ability to analyse their strengths and weaknesses allowed them to

implement strategic adjustments during half time. These adjustments allowed the team to come

back stronger during the second half; our defence was stronger, which meant that the team were

intercepting passes and returning the ball to our possession, and they focused on strategic

formations and passing. Unfortunately, the team ended up losing.
