Enrichment

At Blenheim we encourage the development of the whole student, so they can leave us with a excellent cultural capital and strong sense of character. Year 12 and 13 have a bi-weekly Enrichment session which occurs on a Wednesday P5. Students have the opportunity to volunteer in departments, and mentor younger students; as well as take part in a University lecture series, debating club, play sports or undertake the EPQ.

As a team, the sixth form students organise an Autumn and Summer Rag Week –where they organise activities for staff and students to get involved in; such as a space hopper race and a Staff v Sixth Form football match. Together we raise money for charity, so we can give back to our local community and make a difference to those in need.

We also offer the opportunity is available to achieve the Gold Award in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, a valuable addition to students’ applications for careers and universities. Furthermore, the Drama department puts on a spectacular bi-annual production and our Sixth Form students play leading roles both on stage and back stage.

Finally, the Sixth Form Senior Leadership Team organise sports teams, parties, barbecues, charity events, House competitions and recreational sport, all of which are open to everyone in the Sixth Form community.
