Health & Fitness Student Trip to Body Worlds ExhibitionPosted on: 03/02/2020
On Monday, thirty-eight Health and Fitness students from Years 9, 10 and 11 went on an incredible interactive journey through the human body when they visited Dr Gunther von Hagens’ renowned exhibition Body Worlds in Piccadilly, London. Students looked at all aspects of physical and mental health through anatomy and physiology of the human body as well as how lifestyle impacts on physical and mental health. Students had the opportunity to have a full body composition analysis, blood pressure and stress tests and were pleased to discover that #teamblenheim are one healthy cohort! Students have the opportunity to download their results analysing their lifestyle and suggesting ways it can be improved through healthier eating, exercise and stress relief.
Students viewed 200 plastinates over the five-floor exhibition and were both curious and amazed. Workbooks were provided and students will use these to aid revision and further study in lessons.
