Year 7 Girls Football Tournament
Posted on: 05/11/2025Year 7 Girls' team recently participated in a Football tournament hosted by Epsom and Ewell High
School, securing four wins and a draw, while maintaining a clean sheet throughout.
Blenheim 0 v 0 Hinchley Wood
Blenheim began the tournament with a well-fought match against Hinchley Wood, which ended
in a 0–0 draw. It was a closely contested game, with both teams creating several opportunities to
score. Blenheim displayed strong defensive organisation and determination throughout, ensuring
a positive start to their tournament.
Blenheim 2 v 0 Epsom and Ewell
In their second fixture, Blenheim produced an excellent performance to secure a 2–0 victory over
Epsom and Ewell. The team showed great attacking intent and composure on the ball. Goals from
Lottie and Jas rewarded the Blenheim's hard work and teamwork, with both girls finishing their
chances confidently. Blenheim could have added to their lead when Layla-Belle found herself with
a double chance in front of goal, but the opposition goalkeeper produced two outstanding saves
to deny her.
Cobham Free School 0 v 3 Blenheim
Blenheim continued their winning form with a convincing 3–0 victory over Cobham Free School.
Jas was in outstanding form, scoring twice, while Lottie added a third goal to seal the result. The
team combined effective attacking play with disciplined defending from Teigan, Paige and Elena,
resulting in another clean sheet and a strong all-round performance.
Blenheim 2 v 0 Three Rivers Academy B
In their fourth match, Blenheim maintained their momentum with a 2–0 win against Three Rivers
Academy 2. Lottie led by example, scoring both goals and showing great composure in front of
goal. The team continued to demonstrate excellent teamwork, control in possession, and a solid
defensive structure with Arabella and Teigan. Blenheim could have extended their lead further,
with Isla narrowly missing a classic chance after a well-worked team move.
Blenheim 3 v 0 Three Rivers Academy A
Blenheim concluded the tournament in impressive way with a 3–0 victory over Three Rivers
Academy 1. Goals from Madeline, Jas, and Lottie highlighted the team’s attacking strength and
confidence. It was a fitting end to a highly successful tournament for Blenheim, who showcased
skill, teamwork, and determination throughout all their matches.
Congratulations to all the girls who represented Blenheim with pride. Well done to the whole
team for their fantastic performances, with a special shoutout to Lottie and Jas for scoring the
most goals and to Belle for keeping a clean sheet.
