Netball Club Trip to the Copperbox

Posted on: 26/02/2026

43 excited Netball Club players and 4 members of staff travelled to watch the first Netball Super League match of the season as London Pulse took on Manchester Thunder at the iconic Copper Box Arena. The Netball Super League and London Pulse team is a mix of some of the most talented players from around the world. The squad is a vibrant mixture of home-grown talent, newly signed athletes with a sprinkling of international stars. England netball has made huge strides in the world rankings (ranging from 2& 3 best in the World), and the Super league itself is now in a transformational stage to becoming fully professional.

With an incredible crowd of 4,800 spectators in attendance, the atmosphere was electric from the very first centre pass. Our players fully embraced the experience, joining in with the chants and proudly shouting, "I say 'London', you say 'Pulse'… London! Pulse! London! Pulse!” Their enthusiasm and energy matched the excitement on court. A great team effort from Blenheim got the first Mexican Wave going around the venue and a huge cheer when Blenheim received a shout out from the London Pulse Team.

The match itself was a thrilling contest, with skill, speed and determination on display throughout. After a closely fought game, London Pulse secured a fantastic 56–51 victory, sending the home crowd into celebration.

Our students represented the school impeccably well at all times, demonstrating excellent behaviour, teamwork and sportsmanship. They were a credit to the club and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to watch elite netball in such an inspiring environment. Even the unexpected road closures and traffic diversions on the journey home failed to dampen spirits — the energy remained high, with plenty of post-match analysis and excitement continuing on the coach. It was a memorable evening for all involved and a brilliant experience for our young netballers.
