Future Choices Careers Fair

Posted on: 18/06/2019

Blenheim’s Annual Careers Fair took place last Friday and was attended by over 30 employer organisations and educational establishments, many from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) industries.

This event is part of Blenheim’s ongoing support to assist students with planning and decision-making regarding their future progression and career pathways. Government backed studies have shown “there is strong research evidence about the impact of employer engagement on pupils’ future prospects and earnings in adult life.”

Blenheim students in Years 8, 9, 10 and 12 were given the opportunity to converse with employers enabling them to gain valuable information relating to job opportunities, qualifications and employability.

Year 11 and Year 13 students still considering their options were also invited to the event.

The Fair was well attended by employers and students and it helped students to focus on possible careers and what life after Blenheim could look like.
