Blenheim High School - Blues

2 Blenheim High School - Yellows

With the news late on Tuesday that Blenheim’s league opponents Bromley had to self-isolate, an in-house match was quickly organised.

The #teamblenheim girls had the full match day experience with full playing kit and our coaches, Kiera and Harry, took charge of a team each.

#teamblenheim did the occasion justice and showed their commitment throughout. The Blue team started strongly, even with a player down, and raced in to a 3-0 lead in the first fifteen minutes. The Yellow team did manage to get into the game before the first of the two breaks. The game was split into thirds, not the usual halves, to allow the coaches to use the in-house game to provide more feedback than would be usual on game day.

The second third was as well contested as the third with Megan and Amelie combining to allow Megan to score her second and third goal of the game to race into a 5-1 lead.

The third instalment bought less goals but no less commitment, as both teams set out their stall from the start.

The Yellow team managed to pull one goal back but as the game concluded it was the Blues who took the bragging rights back to the changing rooms with a 5-2 win. Congratulations to the two Players of the Match; for the Blues – Amelie and for the Yellows – Leia.

The girls host EDSV Enfield next week in the league during half term.

Blue Team: Exploit, Cassie, Saskia, Katie, Amelie, Megan

Yellow Team: Lara, Leia, Etta, Gemma, Amie, Caitlin, Chinwendu
