BLENHEIM HIGH 3 v 10 HINCHLEY WOOD

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - VIOLET

Despite the result, the Year 7 students played some good quality Netball demonstrating that they are able to link up and down the court. Moving forward, Year 7 will work on understanding where to be in the shooting circle and how to get the ball to the shooters. This will involve moving into an area away from the defender creating space to increase their success rate working the ball into the circle to shoot. The shooting success rate was good and will continue to increase as long as the girls get the ball to the shooters.

BLENHEIM HIGH 2 v 11 HINCHLEY WOOD

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - TAYLORE

Year 8 put in a solid performance against a well drilled Hinchley Wood side. They defended well and made a lot of interception. To improve they will be working on their connective passes down the court thinking about moving into space away from the defender. They demonstrated good team work and camaraderie throughout the match and even though when the sun went down the temperature dramatically dropped they still all had a smile on their face.

BLENHEIM HIGH 11 v 3 HINCHLEY WOOD

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - HOLLY

The Year 9 Girls displayed an excellent level of Netball against Hinchley Wood. In the first half of the match they worked cohesively as a team making lots of passes up court giving lots of passing opportunities. After a half time talk, with a positive score of 8-2, the squad came back on and displayed a great response to feedback. The space up the court became much more apparent and the interception rate was superb from both attacking and defensive players. A final score of 11-3 to Blenheim with Holly receiving player of the match. Congratulations girls on an excellent win. Well deserved after the hard work you’ve out into training recently.
