This week, the PE department celebrated the achievements and dedication of years 8 to 11 through the Sports Colours Assemblies. The Sports Colours Reward System comprises of four levels which typically run throughout years 7 to 10. Each level demonstrates that a student has committed 25hours of their time to school sport. Each level is awarded with the following:

level 1 - a sports certificate

level 2 - a half colours certificate and badge

level 3 - a sports colours t-shirt and certificate

level 4 - an elite sports silver tie and certificate

The department also celebrate those students who demonstrate excellence in specific sports by awarding sport badges and the grandest award is the title of 'Sports Boy/Sports Girl of the Year'. 

There have been so many students who have gained various sports colours awards this week,including a record beating cohort of year 11 who gained their elite sports tie. 

The Sports Boy and Sports Girl of each year group are:

Year 8 - Finn and Aoife

Year 9 - Euan and Leah

Year 10 - Archie and Aoife

Year 11 - Max and Matilda
