Congratulations to Archie in year 10 who has won a gold medal in the U17 1500m Steeplechase at the Youth District League. Archie ran the 1500m steeplechase jumping over 12 barriers and 3 water jumps. This is a fantastic achievement. Well done Archie.

The Steeplechase has been part of the modern Olympic Games since 1924 and continues to be part of all major track and field competitions including the World Championships. We will continue to follow Archie's achievements throughout the athletics season and I am sure in years to come.
