It was a pleasure to organise and host the Year 7B National Secondary Schools’ Sports Association (NSSSA) Netball Tournament at Blenheim. Eight teams from across North Surrey Schools came to Blenheim to compete in a round robin tournament with all players involved played superbly well with outstanding sportsmanship. All teams were relatively evenly matched with many final scores coming down to goals scored for teams equal on overall points.

Blenheim used passing and moving across the court to work the ball up to the shooters who were resilient in their efforts to score. The defensive players worked hard to block and intercept passes throughout the defensive third and centre players tirelessly linked the play together. Strength of passing and communication improved throughout the matches which was key to drawing the win in the closing minutes of the final matches.

Certificates were awarded during the final presentation, and all players will be given their certificate during their next year group assembly. Thank you to Miss Le Provost and Mrs Knight who helped to umpire the matches and to Olivia (year 12) and Rhiannon (year 8) for their help throughout the tournament.
