United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Competition

Posted on: 25/11/2025

Year 12 students at Blenheim have demonstrated exceptional mathematical talent through their

outstanding performance in this years’ UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge. The competition,

designed to stretch the most able mathematicians across the country and indeed internationally,

tests logical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking – and our students rose brilliantly

to the challenge. The skills that they have developed – resilience, analytical thinking and precision

– will serve them well as they continue with their A-level Mathematics studies and consider future

STEM pathways.

This year’s results reflect not only the strength and charisma of Blenheim’s Year 12 cohort but

also their commitment and determination to high-level mathematics. A significant number of

students achieved the Bronze award and a big shoutout goes to Lucie and Matthew for their

Silver awards!

Head of Mathematics, Ms Laidler, commented:

“The school is delighted to celebrate these achievements and looks forward to seeing even more

students take part in enrichment opportunities such as the upcoming Intermediate and Junior

Challenge.”

Congratulations to all our Year 12 participants – you have represented Blenheim High School with

great pride and excellence!
