Autumn Term House Update
Posted on: 16/12/2025Term 1.2 began with an exciting House Netball Competition, with strong participation and
competitive performances across all year groups. The Year 7 tournament was a particular
highlight, with Sinndar crowned overall winners after demonstrating excellent teamwork and skill
throughout the competition. A number of standout individual performances were recognised
with Most Valuable Player awards, presented to Leo, Cacie, Ivy, Naomi, Clara, Lilya, William, and
Hannah for their outstanding effort, skill, and sportsmanship.
The Year 8 tournament also saw a high standard of play, with Octavius winning the overall
competition following a series of strong performances. MVP awards were presented to Isaac,
Anneliese, Poppy, Lily, Sophia, Tess, and Rhiannon, recognising their consistency, teamwork, and
positive attitude on court.
The combined Year 9/10 tournament followed, with Sinndar securing the overall win, continuing
their impressive form and adding valuable points to their house total. The MVP awards for this
match was awarded to Caitie, Megan, Bella, Rosie & Tommy.
The focus then shifted to creativity with the House Creative Writing Competition. Students showcased
originality and flair, with Sinndar winning the KS3 category and Nashwan taking the honours in KS4,
contributing valuable points to the overall standings.
Festive spirit was on display during the House Tree Decoration Challenge. Tulyar should be recognised
for submitting the highest number of entries, demonstrating excellent house engagement. After
careful judging, Sinndar were awarded first place for the overall quality of their decoration, further
strengthening their lead.
The term concluded with the allocation of house behaviour points, rewarding consistent positive
conduct across the school. Octavius finished top in this category, followed by Nashwan, Tulyar, and
Sinndar.
We are also pleased to confirm that the new House Captains have now been selected. Details of the
captains for each house can be seen in the table below, and congratulations to all students who have
taken on these important leadership roles.
