Surrey Schools’ Gymnastics Association U13 Floor & Vault Competition

Posted on: 16/01/2020

The U13 Blenheim Gymnastics Squad competed in their second competition of the academic year and their first major competition against 18 other Surrey schools, the majority of which were independent schools. The standard at these competitions is extremely high, with the majority of schools spending 3 hours or more a week on Gymnastics training.

The girls competed in individual floor routines to music and performed on the vault. They were very nervous to compete in front of so many people and on such a large floor area. However, they overcame their nerves and performed excellently, showcasing their skills and the huge amounts of progress they have made over the first half of this academic year.

Blenheim finished a credible 14th out of 18 teams; a result that both Miss Le Prevost and the girls are very proud of. It is a huge achievement to perform in front of so many and against such a high standard. The girls were highly competent and respectful throughout the day with other schools commenting how well they represented Blenheim. Congratulations to Holly who was awarded Gymnast of the Competition for the Blenheim team.
