CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM 1 v 0 ENFIELD TOWN L7

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - AMELIA

In a benchmark performance on a windy and wet day it was clear how this side have developed into one that can win in different ways.

The game started brightly for Chelsea FC Blenheim as they enjoyed most of the possession. Chelsea FC Blenheim had the 'lions' share' of possession and kept a competitive Enfield side in their own half. Enfield did, however, look dangerous at certain stages of the match and both sides could have scored before the break.

As the second half started, the rain began to fall, but Chelsea FC Blenheim's performance was bright and purposeful. Chance after chance was created, but a goal line clearance and several missed chances kept the girls from scoring. Enfield were unable to counter attack as Chelsea FC Blenheim's back three won individual duals and moved the ball forward well.

Although a goal was looming, Chelsea FC Blenheim could have been forgiven for panicking as time ticked on. This did not happen, the girls stuck to their principles and with 90 minutes on the clock a move that started in the defensive third was finished by the impressive Amelia, meaning a deserved 1 - 0 win.

Three points against a top side; a benchmark performance indeed.
