AFC BOURNEMOUTH 3 v 1 CHELSEA FC BLENHEIM

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - MILLIE

It was a tough day at the office for Chelsea FC Blenheim as they travelled to Bournemouth for their third game of the league season.

The girls started slowly, and AFC Bournemouth capitalised on this, creating two chances, and scoring the opener in the first four minutes. This sparked some life into the Chelsea FC Blenheim side and the game became more even, although it was Bournemouth who created clear chances, hitting the frame of the goal three times just before half time.

Half time was important and at 1-0 down the game was still there to win. After just two minutes Blenheim Chelsea were level with Amelia scoring after great play from front to back.

Chelsea FC Blenheim were now level and had a foothold in a tight game. Both sides created chances, but it was Bournemouth who converted, scoring in the 72nd minute. This goal took the wind out of the girls' sails and as they threw caution to the wind AFC Bournemouth completed the scoring with seconds left on the watch resulting in a 3-1 loss. We look forward to welcoming Level 7 Enfield Town to Blenheim next week.
