Posted on: 08/05/2025

Mrs. Fleck and Mr Cole had the pleasure of supporting and observing the 30 students who took part in the House Masterchef Competition after school on Thursday 8 May. The competition was judged upon how aesthetically pleasing the dishes were, in addition to the quality of taste. There were also a number of entries from those students who were unable to take part in the competition at school, but placed their entries from home and these were taking into consideration for the overall competition. Dishes included a paneer curry with gooey lava cake, Rosemary lamb, roasted potatoes and honey carrots, Jerk chicken, Egg fried rice, Carbonara and Steak kebabs. It was a fierce competition, but based upon the judging criteria and overall number of participants and dishes produced per house, the winner of the competition was Tulyar house. They were followed by Sinndar in second place, Octavius were third and Nashwan were in fourth. Students were an absolute credit to themselves and this competition epitomised a Growth Mindset approach towards cooking.
